Costa Rica is a small country located over the tropical belt in Central America. The climate remains tropical throughout every season, ensuring great conditions for surfing. Spanish is probably the most spoken language in the united states, and if you want to acquaint yourself with the language when you take surfing lessons, you may want to master Spanish. Spanish school in Peru or in Chile in the neighboring South America offer great language courses for foreigners.
Costa Rica is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean in the east and Pacific Ocean in the west, thus hosting numerous world renowned beaches. The elements is such that it provides almost perfect surfing conditions through the year. However, that is true for the Pacific side and not the Caribbean side.
The conditions for surfing in the east coast don’t last throughout the year whilst the waves are mainly click here caused by tropical storms. Therefore, it is not recommended for a newcomer to attempt surfing with this side. For new surfers, the Pacific Coast side is more of an option.
The west side of the coast may be further divided in to three distinct regions, the North, Central and South.
North Pacific Coast
That is typically the most popular region for surfing in Costa Rica and has some great places for surfing.
Places such as Playa Naranjo have very good winds, especially between December and March. This is a great place to remain and learn surfing because of its location. You can also camp here but a 4 wheel drive is a necessity here.
Tamarindo is just a town with startling beauty that provides great surfing conditions for both novices and experienced surfers alike. The most effective conditions are found between December and April. Tamarindo also offers Spanish classes when you were interested in learning Spanish too, you may have the best of both at your disposal.
Central Pacific Coast
Hermosa Beach in the Central Pacific region keeps its waters in a continuing swell. The beach stretches for all miles so it is possible to find an area where it is not as crowded. The great thing is, this beach is readily available from San Jose.
